Tuesday Mornings

I love Tuesday mornings and this is why: Tuesdays I don't start work untill 3pm.  I have a nice little routine where I wake up at around 9:30-10AM and lazily fumble around for some cereal.  I happened to eat the entire box of Honey Nut Cheerios this morning, so I guess I'll have to make a trip to the store tomorrow.  I'll surf the internet and chill out till like 1PM, then I get ready to leave for work at 2.  It's like that every single week.  It's my favorite.  And part of that routine has to do with making a little too much coffee for a single person to drink.

And I really had no idea how saturated those photos came out until I JUST posted them.  I swear my dinosaur MacBook displays colors in a broken kind of way.  Trust me.  I don't think that looks good, but I'm too lazy to fix it now.  You've probably noticed the fuji's I lave laying on the table.  You can't tell exactly what they are but it's something I'm proud of.  One, our new "area".  We have an incredible new couch thanks to my cuz Natalie, and we've been making good use out of it.  We eat our dinners on our TV trays and watch PeepShow every night.  Except now we've watched EVERY episode of EVERY season, so it's back to our old NBC favorites and waiting for new episodes to come out. But my Fuji makes me realize a few important things...  it kinda sucks, you can't turn off the flash, and there is no manual controls.  It's fun, but it's not exactly what I want either.  I've been debating and debating what to do with this tax return of mine, I have a lot I need to pay for and save for and plan for, but dammit.  I want a new camera.

This camera-

The 600SE.  The Goose.   I found a few on Amazon for like $600 or $700, but not sure I can take the plunge yet.  Hopefully I can make up my dang mind soon.  I'm getting impatient, and feel like I'm in a creative funk.  Let's hope I snap out of that too.

the birthing of alba mae

From the beginning, this pregnancy seemed so much the same, yet so distinctly different all at once. I didn't get sick, I wasn't too turned away by my favorite foods, I had occasional heartburn here and there and overall, was able to relax and enjoy the experience.  What was strange was how differently I was carrying - having been told more times than I could count that I had looked as if I had "swallowed a basketball".  I think I was persuaded a few times in my head that maybe this was  different, maybe it really was a baby boy.  Yet still, in my heart I had an overwhelming intuition I would be holding another little girl in my arms, someone so very similar to her sister yet so distinctly different all at once. My little may flower. Saturday night, the air was warm and sticky.  Sofia, Erick and I read stories by a big window fan in her room trying to distract ourselves from the heat in our upstairs apartment. ...
