The Chicago Botanical Garden has been a popular choice for families, especially during the fall-- and no wonder!  It's absolutely magical.  I met with the Barry family over the weekend for a very quick session before they headed off to a birthday party, and I'm so very glad that we were able to sneak some photos in.  Little Larry Barry is only a few months older than Sofia, so it has been so wonderful watching him grow up.  He's very quick, very bright, and especially unkeen on staying in one place for too long, as most children his age are-- mine included! ;) Annie and her husband are phenomenal parents, and it's no surprise considering how wonderful their own parents are.  There's a long story behind why Sofia's middle name is Michele, and Annie has a lot to do with it.  Her mother, Michele, was one of the greatest ladies to ever grace this planet-- adven...

More family sessions are coming! Here is a sneak at The Barry family and their adorable little man from a few days ago. This beautifully chilly fall weather has been just perfect for photos... I'll have much more of these soon, on the blog.

A bit terrified of the rain, I left for this day with both sets of fingers crossed on my drive up to Skokie. I've known fellow talented photographer  friend Justina Olenick for more years than I can even count. I've talked about her numerous times on this blog, you may remember her maternity session or the wedding we shot together. Luckily for all of us, we escaped the day with nothing more than a mere sprinkle in the early morning and were left with a beautifully perfect, overcast sky for our time together. I'm always more nervous taking photos of other photographers, something about this fear that I have less room for error, and they're paying attention and silly things like that, but what I've come to realize is that it is much  easier to pose and direct a photographer's family because they simply already kn...
