sofia is three weeks old.

i'm so sad that i wasn't able to take her real three week pictures yet, erick has the 60d today. yet, why am i still calling it 'the' 60d when it is rightfully his? oh i don't know. i just really need to buy my own camera, and the thought of buying anything in that price range irks me a little bit right now.

but the bigger problem is that if we don't get moving on these newborn pictures/birth announcements we definitely wont be able to put her in all of these adorably impossible poses (sorry, baby!) for much longer. really. i cannot be-LEIVE how fast these little things grow-- literally-- overnight. i woke up the other day and thought to myself her cheeks were bigger. i looked at a picture on my iphone that i sent to my mom and even she was like, 'awww looookittt! so chubby!' see? instant validation.

sofia, i love you. you're getting bigger. it's freaking me out.

Easter Weekend

Hello! Happy mid-week to you. This is the roll of photos we shot over our Easter weekend , and oh what a wonderful weekend it was. It was so nice to have family here to visit - even if the weather was cooler than we anticipated! We visited the redwoods in Felton, ate vegetarian burritos, went to the epic shoreside in Montara, and the brewing company in Half Moon Bay. Our hearts are full and our home is feeling quite empty now ;) As a side note, I've found a renewed love with film. This is a post for another time, but it bears mentioning here! There has been much on my mind re: photography, and hopefully this will be the space I can share that. For the curious, all the above were shot on a Nikon FM10 with Fuji Superia 400 speed film.

Happy Wednesday to all of you! It's my favorite day of the week. Today, I spent a lazy day at home with the girls and one thing we all enjoy doing when we get a little stir crazy is to hop in a bubble bath together and relax for a bit. I've always bathed with my girls, its an experience I know I'll cherish looking back on forever.
