  4. Question (if I may): Do you shoot and publish raw photos? I love your photography style so much, it's so simple and focused and everything is so perfectly framed. Lovely, lovely, lovely.
    I made a commitment to finally figure out how to use my wonderful beasty camera this year, poor thing is probably feeling abused by me ha.

  6. I know where you were! Julius Meinl!

    Have you ever gone to Southport Grocery and Cafe? The reason I ask is because I was just there on Sunday and we passed a Julius Meinl while we were walking around Southport Ave. Anyway, you should try it - the cupcakes are heavenly! And so are the bread pudding pancakes! And the hash!

    Beautiful pictures :) beautiful baby!

  7. @carissa - I almost always shoot raw. And don't be afraid of your manual setting on the camera! Possibilities are endless, just experiment! :)
    @becka - it really was heaven!
    @olivia - thank you!
    @mrsroberts - close! They served Julius Meinl at the cafe we were at but it actually wasn't a JM restaurant, I heard their food is good too!

bump : week 22

I've said it before, but if I could pack up and move my entire family straight into the By The Barkers studio space, I would. Absolute heaven! As for our little one, he or she has been giving me strong, swift kicks - especially around bed time.  Waves and ripples dance across my belly as I lay in bed waiting, watching.  I'll admit, it's been difficult for Erick and I since we've decided to keep things a surprise as far as the gender.  We were both so used to the feeling of knowing with Sofia that it's made this pregnancy a completely unique experience.  My intuition keeps swaying back and forth wondering if this little one is a boy or girl, and judging by the way that I look, feel and eat, my best guess is that we have another little lady on the way. (Though, if you ask Sofia, she's already told us she thinks baby is a "bruh-der")  !!! Mamas out there, was your intuition right? Any tell-tale signs or...

bump : week 23

The sub-zero weather has kept us indoors, but it hasn't kept us from having the most amount of fun possible.  I've been enjoying hot cups of tea served with teaspoons of sugar and condensed milk, curling up with my favorite blanket and enjoying the tap-tap, nudge-nudge of the littlest De La Rosa.  Though I find myself playing catch up yet again (I'm 24 weeks!) I'm not complaining in the least bit.  I've had this little family of mine all to myself for a full four days with no work, no emails, no agenda and no pressure.   Ahhhhh... happy winter celebration, little baby. PS- did you know Erick finally launched his website ?  It's up, it's responsive, and it's gorgeous. I'm a proud muma bear.
