easter : holiday weekend

A perfect weekend day spent with family, warm enough for light jackets and egg hunting in Great Grandma's backyard.  Spring is on it's way here and we are all breathing a little easier.  I feel so blessed for moments like these that we all get to spend together - I couldn't be more grateful that I live just hours away from the most important people in the world to me. (With the exception of my other sister who moved out to sunny California).  A trip may be on order soon!

I sincerely hope your Easter weekend was warm, bright and filled with family.

  10. So lovely you spent the day with family! My parents were in another state (spending Easter with my sister and her family this year) so it was a bit lonely for us, but still lovely nonetheless. Is that your sister? She has such an infectious smile! x

Week 27 Update

Hello fellow internet peoples.  Decided to give a HD video update for the beginning of my third trimester.  (WE SO EXCITED!)  It was a ton of fun to make, this time we were at home in Chicago.  Erick had a bunch of lighting equipment after all the interviews he did with the chicago school councils, so before he had to ship them back we took full advantage ;)  I'm learning more about codec and h.264 and prores 422 and although it makes absolutely no sense to me, maybe it will be useful knowledge in the future.  What do I know? It was obviously a very gesture laden, emotional, 10 minute interview.  I hope you all enjoy it.  It really is longer than I expected but instead of completely chopping it up, I decided to leave it how it is.  It's pure, natural, pregnant-y goodness of brain farts, odd humor, and searching for the right words.  If you make it to the end, remind me to give you a gold star or something.  I'll do it. ** A ...

bump : week 23

The sub-zero weather has kept us indoors, but it hasn't kept us from having the most amount of fun possible.  I've been enjoying hot cups of tea served with teaspoons of sugar and condensed milk, curling up with my favorite blanket and enjoying the tap-tap, nudge-nudge of the littlest De La Rosa.  Though I find myself playing catch up yet again (I'm 24 weeks!) I'm not complaining in the least bit.  I've had this little family of mine all to myself for a full four days with no work, no emails, no agenda and no pressure.   Ahhhhh... happy winter celebration, little baby. PS- did you know Erick finally launched his website ?  It's up, it's responsive, and it's gorgeous. I'm a proud muma bear.
