I'm definitely in love with Bia van Deventer's work for Manouche and their latest album.  The typography is great, and old, vintage-looking colors just work.  I love the feel it gives to the cover art!  What do you think?

It had to happen sometime.  After all this talk about how such a relaxing and special time it was to take a nice, warm bubble bath with my daughter it.  finally.  happened.  Sofia pooped in the tub.  She didn't poop just once, but twice.  Back to back nights.  And you know what?  I'm okay with it. sofia's first moments with papa Hey everyone.  I’m excited to say that I have been chosen to do a guest post on my wonderful wife’s blog. She had asked me to write something up probably about two months ago (probably longer) but I just could not think of anything that would interest anyone else out there. Instead of trying to recall a story I decided just to write a bit about myself and some of the things I have been thinking about recently. My name is Erick and I am a brand new father of a beautiful baby girl. I am a dj/producer, photographer, graphic designer, and videographer. I had gone to school at The School of the Art Institute to study primarily photography and design, but there are so many things in the world that interest me in so many creative ways that I just want to learn and do it all. It's only good for about 10 minutes and then, well, we kinda fall apart.  We're gonna stick it out though, gotta gain those arm and ab muscles!  Pretty soon we'll get rid of that baby bald spot, too.

Sofia and I took a trip to the Wicker Park Farmer's Market today and were able to pick up some farm fresh raspberries, blackberries, lettuce and other goodies.  Not to mention was Sunday the perfect day to go to the Northside of Chicago (no traffic!!!) but today was just an all around beautiful day.  It was sunny with a breeze and the air was cool.  I walked with Sofia kangaroo style in my Maya Wrap  and we walked a good mile to where we needed to be.  Such a fun day.  Now on to the good stuff: This is my version of the Raw Berry Pie that I saw a few weeks back on Whole Family Fare.    I can't wait to have a nice, cold slice after our carnitas tonight.
