UNCLE STEVE

I didn't run to post anything about the news yesterday because honestly, I couldn't hold myself together.  I was choked up with tears regarding the news of his passing and still find myself trying to collect my thoughts around it all.  This company has done nothing but completely transformed my life, and feel honored to work for them every day.  I think about how much the future has already been touched by Steve- education, music, technology, entertainment, special needs accessibility... the list goes on and on.  We will always carry his vision with us.  It will always exist. My journey started in the fall of '09.  I was in a bad spot in my life, trapped in a relationship with a man that didn't believe in me, and ultimately unhappy living my every day life.  Then, I had the genius idea that I could somehow work for the company that I've loved since I'd been a little girl.  I made it happen.  Through Apple I've made some of the best friends ...

TIME TO REVIVE THE INSTAX!

CAMERA ROLL ROUNDUP

Hey everyone!  This weekend went incredibly too fast, I know all it seems like I ever talk about is where the heck my time is going ... I apologize.  I'm on a mission to track and gauge my time better , and by doing so I was able to accomplish more than I have previously based on setting some new priorities!  We woke up extra early on Saturday and made brunch at home, were able to lay in bed and bask in the sunlight for parts of the afternoon, and even had our first adventures in making homemade baby food!  I think if we can keep the momentum swinging in our favor, time (or lack there of) isn't even a match for us anymore.  We got this!

GRABBY GRABBY

Let's just see what she get her hands on next.  Right now, it's all about the dangling teething rings.

THE SOFINATOR TURNS 4 MONTHS

"Check me out, guys!" "Well actually, let ME tell you how it feels to be four months old..." "Come a little closer, Mama let me study your face" "Oh wait, nevermind.  Check this out!  I have hands!" "Gosh, why didn't I notice these things BEFORE?!" "Oh, hey Mama.  Sorry.  What were you saying?" Yep, typical Sofia.  She is quite the personality, that's for sure.  Words cannot describe how thankful I am for all the time I get to spend with my daughter.  She is the light of my life, I can't even imagine myself without those little chubby cheeks and fuzzy brown hair!  Time has been absolutely flying by, I can't believe that she'll be crawling and sitting before we even know it.  Here's to taking the days a little bit slower, appreciating the little things more, showering loved ones with kisses and taking longer showers.

BRUNCH ON A BUDGET

We've been learning to live a little simpler as of late, which even happens to cut into our weekly brunches.  Today we decided to wake up a little earlier and make some Bongo Room worthy red velvet pancakes (with a side of bacon, of course) right from home.  And you know what?  They were absolutely delicious.  But what's even greater than not having to whip out your debit card at the end of your meal is spending time in the kitchen with the people I love, including Sofia!  One of her new favorite things is to sit in the sling while I cook... we just have to start being more careful now as she just figured out she can use her hands to, you know, grab things and other fun things like that!

SUCH A GREAT IDEA

How great of an idea is it to paint your hardwood floors white?  We have a bunch of hardwood at our apartment, but I haven't been brave enough to paint over it yet.  After seeing  these photos , I almost can't help myself now... So, what do you guys think?  Worth it?  Something about white has always been so appealing to me on floors.
