The Skinny: MMM Melting Marshmallow Moment from LUSH

Well isn't that a mouthful. Tonight I'm reviewing one of the many Lush goodies I was gifted (surprisingly) tonight after a random State Street Macy's trip. Erick is seriously, seriously, seriously the best. And if all of y'all have never heard of Lush, I suggest you not online visit their site, but go walk into one of their stores. I kid you not- it's like being an adult in a candy store. The smells are overpowering, but not in a Yankee Candle kind of way... more like a yummy bath things kind of way. I'll be honest in saying most men would rather not enjoy this journey, but your woman will definitely love you even more if you treat her to some Lush every once and a while. Just saying.

So on to the marshmallow magical goodness. This pinkish cupcake adorable little guy is about a $6 indulgence. And while that is a little steep for a one-use, you could easily take a butter knife to him and get 2-3 baths instead. This is from Lush's line of bath melts. Note: these do not make bubbles, they only have yummy smells and moisturizing properties. I combined mine with a bath bomb (fizzy) so it could go the extra distance. I loved it. Skin was super soft and not overbearingly fragranced. Did I mention I love Lush? Seriousy. After spending the first, like... 20 years of your life taking ONLY baths, you grow fond of that relaxing nighttime ritual. When I lived in the dorms at college I absolutely despised taking showers. Especially public showers. I wore flip flops and everything. Ack.

Week 27 Update

Hello fellow internet peoples. Decided to give a HD video update for the beginning of my third trimester. (WE SO EXCITED!) It was a ton of fun to make, this time we were at home in Chicago. Erick had a bunch of lighting equipment after all the interviews he did with the chicago school councils, so before he had to ship them back we took full advantage ;) I'm learning more about codec and h.264 and prores 422 and although it makes absolutely no sense to me, maybe it will be useful knowledge in the future. What do I know? It was obviously a very gesture laden, emotional, 10 minute interview. I hope you all enjoy it. It really is longer than I expected but instead of completely chopping it up, I decided to leave it how it is. bump : a thank you

Thank you all so much for the warm welcome on our littlest growing member of the De La Rosa family - we are so lucky and blessed, that is for sure! Lots of time has been spent the past few weeks celebrating with friends and family, though a certain "weight" has been lifted now that it's truly out in the open. (Ahhhh...) Erick and I knew right away that this go-around, we were going to try everything we could to have the birth we wanted, so we've switched our prenatal care from a standard OBGYN practitioner to one of the only midwife groups in the state. Although it is becoming more common, midwives and water births are still extremely difficult to come by. In Illinois specifically, there are only two birthing centers in a 50 mile radius willing to offer this to us - and one of these didn't take our healthcare plan. It's crazy how many long nights were spent researching on the web and phoning out to different practices, but I am so happ...
