This is our usual Wednesday- a trip north to the city, late breakfast with pancakes and eggs to share, new cafes, time spent walking outside, no concrete plans at all. Today I was in search for the best coffee in the city and was smitten with our choice of Star Lounge Coffee Bar. I would have never been able to find this hidden gem without the help of my friend Jenny, so here most sincerely, is my thank you.
I felt it necessary to add Sofia didn't actually get a true taste of my latte, just a bit of the chocolatey foamed milk on top. Such a curious little one we have...

DeleteI love sharing the foam that forms with Bella.
ReplyDeleteThe perfect moment...
DeleteI'd love to have a coffee date sometime with you ! :-) x
ReplyDeleteOh, please please! xo
DeleteMy little one does the same thing! I usually scoop it off for him with a spoon. Today, though, was too hot for one of those. A big iced coffee for my husband and I this afternoon...
ReplyDeleteIced does sound delicious... we had a very mild day today, thinking I may have to whip up a batch at home this weekend.
DeleteI'm glad you and your cute little family were able to make it there! A friend told me it was worth the trip and I was so happy to sit there and work in the sunny window toward the back for 4 hours the other day. This place made me happy and calm. Cheers! :D
ReplyDeleteIt truly is a gorgeous space. I can't wait to go back!
DeleteLoves these pictures Kate, you have such a sweet little family! That coffee shops looks and sounds amazing too!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jen xo
DeleteIt even looks like a good cup of coffee. The second photo is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteHa- it's mine too. She was so adamant about that sip!
DeleteYou should have got Sofia a babyccino (steamed milk)!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know you could do that... I may definitely have to try to get one on our next trip!
Deleteliterally, two blocks down my street. sad i missed you!
ReplyDeleteNo way!! We are definitely going back, so I'll be sure to let you know when we do!
Deletethese photos are beautiful kate. i have always admired your photography. love the warmth and all that red. gorgeous. hope all is well. xo
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, the light ended up being perfect as we stopped in right as the sun was beginning to go down. Plus, that red wall definitely 'popped!' Hope you've had a great week!
Deleteher face when she takes a sip! oh my. that's something that should be printed and hung on a wall for her to see in later years. lovely. i've been meaning to go to a coffee shoppe like this :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to have some of these photos printed somewhere, a book maybe?
DeleteOooh their menu sounds sooo good. A Mayan mocha with cinnamon and cayenne? YUM. I've stopped drinking coffee so I don't have to worry about my caffeine intake, but it has had some terrible side effects. Including jealousy :)
ReplyDeleteYou are too good... My midwife okayed two cups a day, but I usually stick to just one. Even that is hard for me, surprisingly! ;)
DeleteThe chocolate foamy top is my favourite bit. What a good mom you are to share it;) xx
ReplyDeletei love too many things about these pictures!!
ReplyDeletegorgeous photographs!
