"A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013."

Sofia - If I come to wipe your face you'll naturally tell me "no" and run away.  If I give you the wipe to do it yourself, I've found you happily oblige.
Alba - Our little mayflower has found her hands - quite the adorable thing to watch in the early morning.

Nearly (a week!) late on this round? Who have I become?! Clearly not one who is ever on time to the party - let's just say I'm happily embracing it. ;) I haven't had the opportunity to pull out my "real" camera as much as I had hoped, but it will be getting lots of use this weekend when I head straight back into client work with a wedding downstate. All of you just inspire me over and over again with your portraits and I have such a terrible time choosing a group when the next week hits, but I am absolutely loving Jane Mabel's wannabe ballerina, the most darling curls of the ever growing Chloe, and the soft black and white's from Catherine, who continues to blow me away.

Linking up this week with Jodi of Che & Fidel.

bump : week 22

I've said it before, but if I could pack up and move my entire family straight into the By The Barkers studio space, I would. Absolute heaven! As for our little one, he or she has been giving me strong, swift kicks - especially around bed time.  Waves and ripples dance across my belly as I lay in bed waiting, watching.  I'll admit, it's been difficult for Erick and I since we've decided to keep things a surprise as far as the gender.  We were both so used to the feeling of knowing with Sofia that it's made this pregnancy a completely unique experience.  My intuition keeps swaying back and forth wondering if this little one is a boy or girl, and judging by the way that I look, feel and eat, my best guess is that we have another little lady on the way. (Though, if you ask Sofia, she's already told us she thinks baby is a "bruh-der")  !!! Mamas out there, was your intuition right? Any tell-tale signs or...

bump : week 23

The sub-zero weather has kept us indoors, but it hasn't kept us from having the most amount of fun possible.  I've been enjoying hot cups of tea served with teaspoons of sugar and condensed milk, curling up with my favorite blanket and enjoying the tap-tap, nudge-nudge of the littlest De La Rosa.  Though I find myself playing catch up yet again (I'm 24 weeks!) I'm not complaining in the least bit.  I've had this little family of mine all to myself for a full four days with no work, no emails, no agenda and no pressure.   Ahhhhh... happy winter celebration, little baby. PS- did you know Erick finally launched his website ?  It's up, it's responsive, and it's gorgeous. I'm a proud muma bear.
