bump : week 26











We traveled to the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art this past week for their children and families day to take some quick photos and watch Sofia explore the artistic activities they had provided for little ones.  We had the best time, and I have become increasingly aware of just how important these moments of family time are to all of us.  I can say I have officially reached the stage where my normal jeans are starting to feel too tight and coming home from work quickly means "no-pants".  Can you believe that in just 12 short weeks I could be giving birth?  I know I can't!

I feel ready.

      they actually did send me a few items that I've been rotating in with my other AA clothing, I couldn't believe the kindness! i was planning on doing a wrap-up post at the end thanking them - this whole journey has been such a whirlwind! x

    all the pictures are beautiful - but I love the first one. Seems like you're looking to spring and to your spring baby.. and I'm not pregnant but quite a big fan of getting home and getting out of pants! PJ bottoms, yoga pants, other such stylish things (!) . xx

    It sounds like lots of fun I know I enjoy the art gallery just as much as the girls when I take them each holiday. I love your pretty polka dot skirt with your black top:) Not long now at all how exciting. xx

    my husband and i just love chicago. we usually make it out there a couple times a year. my sister actually works in the city monday - thursday but lives here in ohio.

Week 27 Update

Hello fellow internet peoples.  Decided to give a HD video update for the beginning of my third trimester.  (WE SO EXCITED!)  It was a ton of fun to make, this time we were at home in Chicago.  Erick had a bunch of lighting equipment after all the interviews he did with the chicago school councils, so before he had to ship them back we took full advantage ;)  I'm learning more about codec and h.264 and prores 422 and although it makes absolutely no sense to me, maybe it will be useful knowledge in the future.  What do I know? It was obviously a very gesture laden, emotional, 10 minute interview.  I hope you all enjoy it.  It really is longer than I expected but instead of completely chopping it up, I decided to leave it how it is.  It's pure, natural, pregnant-y goodness of brain farts, odd humor, and searching for the right words.  If you make it to the end, remind me to give you a gold star or something.  I'll do it. ** A ...

bump : week 23

The sub-zero weather has kept us indoors, but it hasn't kept us from having the most amount of fun possible.  I've been enjoying hot cups of tea served with teaspoons of sugar and condensed milk, curling up with my favorite blanket and enjoying the tap-tap, nudge-nudge of the littlest De La Rosa.  Though I find myself playing catch up yet again (I'm 24 weeks!) I'm not complaining in the least bit.  I've had this little family of mine all to myself for a full four days with no work, no emails, no agenda and no pressure.   Ahhhhh... happy winter celebration, little baby. PS- did you know Erick finally launched his website ?  It's up, it's responsive, and it's gorgeous. I'm a proud muma bear.
