Hello, dear friends in blog land. How are you? We've been quietly enjoying each other's company and taking it slow and easy. I recently returned to work, so all of my days off have been divided between editing photos, freelance work, or caring for these two delicious bundles of mine.
(I'm happiest when it's the latter).
My journal has been getting more and more attention lately, it seems my mind is busy with things and plans I've made but just simply haven't had the time to act out yet. I believe it helps to write it all down, especially when time is scarce. I know that eventually I will get a break in the action to start acting on the projects and columns and yoga and healthiness that have all been slipping between my fingers. I'm smiling because I know there's just not time in the day for everything and I'm slowly learning to just ahhhh - breathe - accept it. Not an easy thing for me to do!
How have your summer/winter months been going?
What's been on your to-do list?

Returning to work is sooooo hard. I am starting back to work full time on Monday after two months home with my 9 month old. I am dreading that same feeling like there aren't enough hours in the day to do all the fun projects and things you want to accomplish. In all things mommyhood I feel like there are lessons in breathing and taking it in. Good reminder.
ReplyDeleteMaternity leave never seems long enough - hoping your full time transition goes smoothly.
DeleteI love the photograph where your little ones toes are peeking out-so incredibly perfect!
ReplyDeleteWe are in the heat of summer here in Texas. There's no way to hide from that sun! Even at the pool it's terribly hot so we hide away indoors as if it's winter.
oh that smile! my to do list is crazy right now with our impending 2 months of travel. i just want to be in canada already! i seriously don't know how you do it all though, you're a wonder woman x
ReplyDeleteEverything is on my to-do list, I've thrown my hands up in the air and let go of EVERYTHING this week. As a result I'm actually looking forward to cleaning the house today, after a few days break. hurrah! your pictures are gorgeous, as usual

Hello lovely lady. That smile is so sweet, all gummy and twinkly eyed.
ReplyDeleteMy to-do list is mental too. It must be that time of year or something. 'Half way through! Must. finish. projects. now!'
Onwards! My mind shouts. Cheers to taking it easier. x
I just love your photos, so beautiful. The little toe with the scarf is so cute.
ReplyDeleteOh, how I love these moments, especially those precious toes peeping out from under the scarf!
