the big reveal




Over the weekend, Erick's brother and sister-in-law threw an amazing "reveal" party to announce the sex of their new baby due in October - it's a girl!  We couldn't be more excited for them! I have to say I'm feeling a bit chuffed since I did guess correctly and knew from the minute I took a look at that first ultrasound photo ;)

Balloons were thrown high in the air, cake was shared among family and friends, and ice cream was supplied by the neighborhood truck. For as much as we want to move out of the south side of the city, it's little backyard get-togethers like these that will always hold a special place in my heart.

Naturally, I felt the need to document the day in it's entirety.

I am so glad I did.

    Alba's got a very "old soul" look to her. And those cheeks! I'd eat them all day! How do you get anything done?

    Also, the photos of Sophia at the picnic table and on the stoop with I've cream? Kills me. She's precious.

bump : week 23

The sub-zero weather has kept us indoors, but it hasn't kept us from having the most amount of fun possible.  I've been enjoying hot cups of tea served with teaspoons of sugar and condensed milk, curling up with my favorite blanket and enjoying the tap-tap, nudge-nudge of the littlest De La Rosa.  Though I find myself playing catch up yet again (I'm 24 weeks!)
