You left comments, questions, and feedback. I listened. D&SJ readers want to hear more from the wonderful man that I married, the father of this beautiful baby, and best friend- Erick. This is incredibly exciting for me because, although he does have an enormous presence within my written word, I feel like my blog and all the hopes and aspirations I had for starting it would be nothing if it wasn't for him, so he needs a voice here. It's decided. And let me tell you, it feels awesome to finally have a reason (and he doesn't have an excuse) to give him a little room to discuss his side of things!

I can't wait to show you all more! Erick will probably start with some sort of introduction for those that don't know him that well... and hopefully move on to some more in-depth looks at his videography, logo and web design, how he creates music and what Starfoxxx is all about, or tricks to catching perfect moments with a camera... etc. Who knows where this could end up! Thanks to all that gave that feedback, and be on the lookout for more posts from Papafoxxx. They're coming.

Week 27 Update

Hello fellow internet peoples. Decided to give a HD video update for the beginning of my third trimester. (WE SO EXCITED!) It was a ton of fun to make, this time we were at home in Chicago. Erick had a bunch of lighting equipment after all the interviews he did with the chicago school councils, so before he had to ship them back we took full advantage ;) I'm learning more about codec and h.264 and prores 422 and although it makes absolutely no sense to me, maybe it will be useful knowledge in the future. What do I know? It was obviously a very gesture laden, emotional, 10 minute interview. I hope you all enjoy it. It really is longer than I expected but instead of completely chopping it up, I decided to leave it how it is. bump : week 23

The sub-zero weather has kept us indoors, but it hasn't kept us from having the most amount of fun possible. I've been enjoying hot cups of tea served with teaspoons of sugar and condensed milk, curling up with my favorite blanket and enjoying the tap-tap, nudge-nudge of the littlest De La Rosa. Though I find myself playing catch up yet again (I'm 24 weeks!) I'm not complaining in the least bit. I've had this little family of mine all to myself for a full four days with no work, no emails, no agenda and no pressure. Ahhhhh... happy winter celebration, little baby. PS- did you know Erick finally launched his website ? It's up, it's responsive, and it's gorgeous. I'm a proud muma bear.
