You can't catch a break, can you? As soon as you conquer one illness, another one strikes. It's the worst thing in the world watching your babies being sick, especially when there's not much you can do to prevent it during one of the worst flu seasons we've had. You've always been more of a papa's girl, but lately all you've wanted was to be in my arms. I let you help me make blueberry pancakes, fresh whipped cream and bacon, you stood on a chair next to me listening as I explained the steps to you. We took a shower and you quickly fell asleep in my arms, curled up exactly as you did when you were teeny-tiny.

It is so hard when they're sick but I can't complain about getting a bit of baby time back.

ReplyDeleteI know this so well! We're on day seven of fever, two days ago tonsillitis and just back from the dr now with a diagnosis of an ear infection. Of course my girl is doing the same as yours is in this picture. Sleep is the best medicine. Wishing yours a speedy recovery.

I hate it so when my boys are sick, but I do find it so endearing that they just want me, cuddling and crawling into laps and our bed; I find I slow down too for more reading time, and more snuggles. hope that she feels better soon and that spring ushers in loads of loveliness and shoos away the winter season of colds & yuck. xo
