"A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2013."

The warm weather means eating cake outside in your nicest sundress, still a bit runny-nosed from your quick bout with a cold.  My little girl, my baby, is less than a month from being two years old.  Sometimes I can't wrap my head around that thought, so I've been pleasantly distracting myself with moments like these as much as I possibly can.

  1. I know - it's crazy, right?! How can they possibly be almost two?! Everly turns two in a month and I can't believe it.

  6. These are my favorite photos, not posed, not neat, not even clean, just real life at it's most precious! All my favorite pictures of my daughter are like this one. She's my one and only and we're facing middle school and her turning 12! It all goes by so very quickly. Prayers for you and your growing your family.

bump : week 23

The sub-zero weather has kept us indoors, but it hasn't kept us from having the most amount of fun possible.  I've been enjoying hot cups of tea served with teaspoons of sugar and condensed milk, curling up with my favorite blanket and enjoying the tap-tap, nudge-nudge of the littlest De La Rosa.  Though I find myself playing catch up yet again (I'm 24 weeks!) I'm not complaining in the least bit.  I've had this little family of mine all to myself for a full four days with no work, no emails, no agenda and no pressure.   Ahhhhh... happy winter celebration, little baby. PS- did you know Erick finally launched his website ?  It's up, it's responsive, and it's gorgeous. I'm a proud muma bear. bump : week 26

We traveled to the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art this past week for their children and families day to take some quick photos and watch Sofia explore the artistic activities they had provided for little ones.  We had the best time, and I have become increasingly aware of just how important these moments of family time are to all of us.  I can say I have officially reached the stage where my normal jeans are starting to feel too tight and coming home from work quickly means "no-pants".  Can you believe that in just 12 short weeks I could be giving birth?  I know I can't! I feel ready. WEARING:   POLKA DOT CHIFFON DOUBLE-LAYERED FULL LENGTH SKIRT IN CREME + BLACK BY AMERICAN APPAREL  |  PHOTOS: BY ERICK
