"A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2013."

The warm weather means eating cake outside in your nicest sundress, still a bit runny-nosed from your quick bout with a cold.  My little girl, my baby, is less than a month from being two years old.  Sometimes I can't wrap my head around that thought, so I've been pleasantly distracting myself with moments like these as much as I possibly can.

  1. I know - it's crazy, right?! How can they possibly be almost two?! Everly turns two in a month and I can't believe it.

  6. These are my favorite photos, not posed, not neat, not even clean, just real life at it's most precious! All my favorite pictures of my daughter are like this one. She's my one and only and we're facing middle school and her turning 12! It all goes by so very quickly. Prayers for you and your growing your family.

bump : week 22

I've said it before, but if I could pack up and move my entire family straight into the By The Barkers studio space, I would. Absolute heaven! As for our little one, he or she has been giving me strong, swift kicks - especially around bed time.  Waves and ripples dance across my belly as I lay in bed waiting, watching.  I'll admit, it's been difficult for Erick and I since we've decided to keep things a surprise as far as the gender.  We were both so used to the feeling of knowing with Sofia that it's made this pregnancy a completely unique experience.  My intuition keeps swaying back and forth wondering if this little one is a boy or girl, and judging by the way that I look, feel and eat, my best guess is that we have another little lady on the way. (Though, if you ask Sofia, she's already told us she thinks baby is a "bruh-der")  !!! Mamas out there, was your intuition right? Any tell-tale signs or...

bump : week 23

The sub-zero weather has kept us indoors, but it hasn't kept us from having the most amount of fun possible.  I've been enjoying hot cups of tea served with teaspoons of sugar and condensed milk, curling up with my favorite blanket and enjoying the tap-tap, nudge-nudge of the littlest De La Rosa.  Though I find myself playing catch up yet again (I'm 24 weeks!) I'm not complaining in the least bit.  I've had this little family of mine all to myself for a full four days with no work, no emails, no agenda and no pressure.   Ahhhhh... happy winter celebration, little baby. PS- did you know Erick finally launched his website ?  It's up, it's responsive, and it's gorgeous. I'm a proud muma bear.
