FIRST EVER GIVEAWAY! - JONAH AND THE GIRL


Real talk.  I have a serious crush on Australia.

That's right.  The whooole thing.

To us in the states, they live in the future.  They have some of the nicest people you will ever meet.  They are swarming with talented creatives.  They have among some of my favorite blogs on the internet... ahem, that's you Jodi, Tim, Kellie, Tamara, Tricia... (to name just a few!)  And now, made possible from one amazing children's company, I am giving away some seriously can't-miss gear.

It would be impossible for me to name just one thing I loved about Jonah and the Girl and the lovely people behind this project.  Using the words "beautiful simplicity" as their catch cry, this little sister company is the labor of love of husband and wife team Scott and Amy Hawkes.  A story of putting kisses on the feet of little ones, Jonah and the Girl has released its first collection of canvas shoes called 'Bertie', a simple unisex style available in six colors.  Though they've just started taking their first steps, be sure to check back often as they begin expanding to be the first to see when new styles and colors are being offered!

Amy and Scott have been so kind to give away their inaugural and beautifully made product, the Bertie shoe, to two lucky Diapers and Skinny Jeans readers!  I am so thrilled to not only be able to giveaway such a great product and support this stellar group of creatives, but really truly give you all something Sofia loves and I wholeheartedly endorse as a mama.  These shoe are the perfect companion! :)

    oh oh i am just so glad i stumbled onto your blog today! i just found out yesterday i'm pregnant with a tiny baby boy and oh i know he would look so darling in a tiny pair of denim blue berties! i spose i would ask for a size 5 so they could fit his tiny feets sooner. YAY!

Week 27 Update

Hello fellow internet peoples.  Decided to give a HD video update for the beginning of my third trimester.  (WE SO EXCITED!)  It was a ton of fun to make, this time we were at home in Chicago.  Erick had a bunch of lighting equipment after all the interviews he did with the chicago school councils, so before he had to ship them back we took full advantage ;)  I'm learning more about codec and h.264 and prores 422 and although it makes absolutely no sense to me, maybe it will be useful knowledge in the future.  What do I know? It was obviously a very gesture laden, emotional, 10 minute interview.  I hope you all enjoy it.  It really is longer than I expected but instead of completely chopping it up, I decided to leave it how it is.  It's pure, natural, pregnant-y goodness of brain farts, odd humor, and searching for the right words.  If you make it to the end, remind me to give you a gold star or something.  I'll do it. ** A ...

bump : week 23

The sub-zero weather has kept us indoors, but it hasn't kept us from having the most amount of fun possible.  I've been enjoying hot cups of tea served with teaspoons of sugar and condensed milk, curling up with my favorite blanket and enjoying the tap-tap, nudge-nudge of the littlest De La Rosa.  Though I find myself playing catch up yet again (I'm 24 weeks!) I'm not complaining in the least bit.  I've had this little family of mine all to myself for a full four days with no work, no emails, no agenda and no pressure.   Ahhhhh... happy winter celebration, little baby. PS- did you know Erick finally launched his website ?  It's up, it's responsive, and it's gorgeous. I'm a proud muma bear.
