Sister winter has made her appearance - the people are staying inside, the children are back in school, and everywhere and everything seems to be quiet. While I'll admit the abundance of gray days aren't usually my favorite, this season I almost don't mind as much, especially considering we've had the odd bit of sunshine lately! A welcome surprise.
Though we're only a week into this new year, I've been busily lining up my plate starting with an exciting collaboration with Katie from Offswitch Magazine. The stillness of the season has been calling for nights spent at my desk, intensely planning and striving to stay on top of things rather than be buried beneath them.
An uncluttered mind, to live in the moment...
How do you spend your quiet days of winter?

i love these shots, and your shoes :)
ReplyDeletep.s. re: cloudstreet... i'm not loving it to be perfectly honest. i feel guilty saying that because everyone loves it so much. i'm about halfway through though, so there's still hope. also, it's VERY australian :)
I'm with Gaby - I adore these photos, Kate - and also the shoes! (Although I only agree with her on the cloudstreet bit in it being extremely australian. I've read it twice and twice thought it incredible.)

ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous! It has been a very unusual winter. We have a high of 82 degrees today. I hope sister Winter's next stop is Florida!
ReplyDeleteI misread the title as "silliness is everywhere" and was desperately trying to figure out what was so silly about these pictures...
